Job Description

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Brokerage office Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have one year of customer service / general office / data entry experience.  

Job Summary: The individual is the first UPS person a customer will see when they enter our building. This person needs to be able to answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate depts. This person must have a professional attitude and demeanor. In addition to the technical skills required, this individual will screen vendors, customers and other non-UPS employees before they can enter our facility.

Job Description: Answer and direct outside customer calls to appropriate areas/depts.; query shipment status, receive mail, sign in a direct visitors, order supplies, file logging, compiling data for reports, and special projects as assigned. Work closely with your management team; Assist in training for coverage.

Required Skills: General knowledge of email and ability to navigate several web applications simultaneously; Must be able to answer phone calls promptly; Candidate must have acceptable attendance record. Individual must have excellent organizational skills. Ability to multi-task.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to handle stressful situations including internal and external customers. Must be a team player. Must be able to work in a team environment. Excellent oral communications skills. Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum of one year of customer service, general office, or data entry experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Proven organizational skills.

• The ability to project a professional image to the customer and to represent UPS SCS in a positive manner.
