About this Position:

Accessory Development Division in the Automotive Development Center develops Automotive Accessories to enhance the customers buying experience. The Quality Control Unit confirms all development components meet specification. This includes at a minimum, dimension, visual, installation and operational verification. Ultimately the Quality Control unit is responsible for the authorization of development completion and leads mass production concern resolution activities. Additionally, the Quality Control Project Leader is responsible for the effective rotation of PDCA and promotion of continuous improvement to ensure high quality accessory development per project schedules and targets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Unit representative as Project Leader for individual model developments as assigned.
  • Static & Dynamic analysis of prototype Accessories vs. specification, per schedule
  • Supplier communication to ensure high quality component development
  • Warranty analysis & timely countermeasure implementation
  • Supplier Quality audits\off tool visits to ensure development & mass production quality

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 5 + years in Quality Assurance\Control related field
  • 5 + years of demonstrated Project Management
  • 3+ years of leadership \ junior associate mentoring

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering\ equivalent in a related field

Desired skills:

  • Can lead complex FMC\MMC\other project developments utilizing rotational PDCA.
  • Extensive experience regarding Honda development flow.
  • Demonstrated junior colleague mentoring
  • Extensive ability to read\write Honda drawings and or data.
  • Extensive proficiency with quality control tools & devices (Micrometer, Callipers etc)
  • Skilled experienced presenter
  • Effective cross functional communicator
  • Strong profiency in various software platforms (NEWS, Catia,Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others)

  • Confidential Lab based analysis of protype components
  • Office work environment with the opportunity for remote work
  • Part unpacking, physical installation
  • Limited travel
  • Overtime as required
