Canyon Ridge Hospital a 106-bed behavioral health facility located on the western edge of San Bernardino County. Canyon Ridge Hospital is a full-service psychiatric hospital that operates within a 15-mile radius of Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Canyon Ridge Hospital has been a public resource for behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in the greater Inland Empire since 1989. Our acute care facility offers a safe and comfortable environment for both adults and adolescents. By offering a full spectrum of services (such as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient), Canyon Ridge Hospital is able to provide a full continuum of care for its clients.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adolescents and adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders; serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
The Registered Nurse must possess current RN license issued by the State of California; demonstrates sound leadership and utilizes this in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks of the patient for a given shift; record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be an exemplary role model to others; displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures; interventions common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice; basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric patient population; basic knowledge of medical terminology especially those terms associated with psychiatric care; familiarity of psychotropic medications; basic teaching and training; problem-solving; organizational and time management skills; crisis intervention; excellent written and verbal communication, eligible for CPR and CPI certification; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of clinical and support team members; empathy for patients and their families; flexibility regarding hours and schedule worked; must maintain information as highly confidential.
