**Job Description**

U.S. Bank is dedicated to creating a simple, modern, and fast digital experience with a laser focus on the data and tools clients really need. To accomplish this, we are seeking a senior engineer to drive enhancements on rapidly growing B2B platform that is built for Corporate Trust, Custody, and Fund Services clients. The engineer will be part of a cross-functional technology team and be accountable for decisions about how the solution gets built and collaborate with various technology resources, utilizing modern technology and frameworks, and be involved in all aspects of the delivery and product life cycle, including discovery, design, build, and launch to deliver a quality world-class solution. A broad knowledge base across various technologies with strong leadership and communication skills is needed to help us take a great product to another level.

**Core Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for designing, developing, testing digital solutions

+ Partner with Product Owners, user experience experts, and engineers to create differentiating experiences.

+ Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code following architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.

+ Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.

+ Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.

+ Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.

+ Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

+ At least 8 years of relevant experience

**Required technical skills:**

+ 8+ years of Java/J2EE application design and development experience

+ 4+ years of HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery experience

+ 5+ years SQL experience and working with Relational Databases (e.g. SQL Server)

+ 3+ years JUnit/HTTP Unit/Cactus experience

+ 3+ years Micro-Services, Web Services (REST) experience

+ Experience in migrating JDBC to ORM calls

+ Source control systems (GIT, RTC, Clearcase)

**Preferred Skills/Experience**

+ Spring Boot

+ REACT Development

+ Liferay portal development platform

+ NoSQL Database experience

+ Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles

+ Cloud (Microsoft Azure) development experience

+ Able to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Banking or finance industry experience
