Overview

Site Overview

The Elkhart site consists of two different campus and employs approximately 700 people. The Elkhart plants collectively contain 10 aerosol lines, 7 liquid lines, 3 tube lines, and 2 packaging lines. Elkhart's plants blend, fill and package a wide variety aerosol and liquid personal care, pharmaceutical, and OTC consumer packaged goods and is an FDA regulated facility.

The Process Engineer drives process improvements on the air effects production line to achieve 85% production line efficiency. Acts as liaison to customer, generating effective production data and creating and maintaining effective reporting documentation.



Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement for production line efficiency.
  • Participates in LEAN/ High Performance Work Team initiatives.
  • Audits line processing, adheres to plant-wide policies.
  • Develop effective processes and create training aides to support manufacturing based production line improvements
  • Develop and conduct training as necessary- individually and in groups, with high focus “train-the-trainer”
  • Create specialized customer reporting, testing and sampling. Enters customer and line process information in excel spreadsheets related to downtime associated with mechanical, process and personnel situations on related lines.
  • Compiles and records daily production data to prepare and report production volume. Provides daily and monthly reports / presentations
  • Processes customer and line performance source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by communicating with supervisors, Line leaders and line personnel.
  • Verifies entered customer and line process information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from JDE, shift passdown, CILs and other related sources.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Job Requirements


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree (or higher) required in area of discipline
    • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, facilitation and project management skills
    • Ability to work accurately with complex data. Create effective reports and technical communication to customers and other technical professionals.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office, MRP system experience
    • Experience with AutoCAD® or equivalent.
    • Strong engineering and mechanical aptitude.
    • Demonstrate understanding of relevant drafting standards.
    • Strong in Excel® spreadsheets.
