Robert Half Healthcare Practice: An incredible provider client is seeking a Healthcare Business Analyst for a great new role. The Healthcare Business Analyst will support multiple departments in providing critical data support to enhance the quality of patient care. This role will be working to identify reporting and analytical needs associated with planning, forecasting, operational and clinical functions, including data design, data retrieval, report generation, and statistical data analysis. This position will define and build SQL views, reports, forms, and alerts to meet the project objectives and business requirements. Based on an understanding of the assigned health services project analyses, the Healthcare Business Analyst figures out the best combination in using existing databases or creating new databases (that may consist of extracted/interfaced data plus analyst-designed custom data entry forms). Other responsibilities will include: Analyze information in raw data sets and in reports to identify issues, trends, or interesting findings to be shared with the customer. Help the customer to interpret and understand data in reports and how to apply them in improving patient care Interprets results of analysis for presentation-ready reports to physicians, leaders and other customers Designs user friendly data entry forms and reports, as needed in completing the assigned health services project analyses Demonstrates skill in overseeing the extraction of data, collection of data, and/or other activities that gather information for further analysis Skilled at data clean-up and transformation, as needed to solve data problems and inconsistencies such as missing data or illogical data values Provides clear documentation on the exact definitions of reports and analyses, including the scope of included facilities, service areas, patients, providers, services, charges, costs, outcomes, etc., the sources of any/all data, an explanation of any/all calculations involved, explanation of time-frames covered, etc. and keeps this documentation current as reports and analyses are changed and/or spawn new analyses and/or reports. Designs and develops basic reports (including basic statistics, if needed) and queries independently Demonstrated accuracy, appropriate content and approach of reports based on self-initiated consultation with customers/project leads Assists customers with data input, reporting, graphing and analysis Please send a resumes to toby.slagle@rhmr.com

Job Requirements

- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint - Efficient with process reengineering and optimization - Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity - Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well - CPA or MBA preferred - Ability to think critically and interact with management - Expert Microsoft Excel skills required - Strong familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services - Expertise in finance - Comprehensive knowledge of decision support - Reporting experience - Prior experience in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended - Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers - Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required
