POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Functional QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and preferably automated testing as well. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.
In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we'd like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Review and analyze system specifications
• Support quality development practices, including test driven development.
• Employ the values and principles of Agile development, as part of an Agile DevSecOps team.
• Actively participate in improving the code base by performing code reviews.
• Evaluate technical effort to implement client requirements and participate in the creation and sizing of user stories.
• Participate and contribute to all agile ceremonies/events.
• Work closely with the team to ensure that technical user stories and acceptance criteria are accurately captured.
• Contribute to documentation of system design and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and act in a business-to-technical translation role.
• Experience working in an onsite client technical consulting environment preferred.
• Experience working within Agile Frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Self-motivated and self-managing.
• Proficient in creating reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasks.

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a US Government Public Trust Clearance.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• An Associates Degree (or Bachelors) and 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
• An understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Working experience in software development and software quality assurance
• Knowledge of the current trends and latest advancements.
• Knowledge of various QA / Testing tools

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to Code Automated Tests using one or more automation tools like Cucumber, Selenium etc.
• Ability to conduct Sprint end demos for the client.
• Knowledge of various types of software applications (i.e., Packaged Software, Web Applications, Windows-based applications, Web Services, Mobile applications etc....)
• Ability to work with various QA/Testing tools and technologies - i.e., Azure DevOps or TFS, SOAP UI, HP ALM, JIRA etc.
