A financial services company in New York City is actively seeking a driven and highly organized professional to join their staff as their new Fixed Income Account Management Analyst / Associate. In this role, the Fixed Income Account Management Analyst / Associate will process the daily accounting function for institutional fixed income accounts, as well as monthly cash and asset reconciliations. 



Responsibilities



The Fixed Income Account Management Analyst / Associate will:




  • Ensure the integrity of all portfolio accounting data (daily and monthly)

  • Identify and independently resolve discrepancies while reconciling cash balances, positions, and trial balance

  • Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions

  • Escalate material breaks timely to a manager to the appropriate parties involved

  • Understand accounting methods (accruals, principal & income) used at the firm and across custodians

  • Perform cash flow processing and approval

  • Support the Investor Services team when account events take place

  • Identify and resolve failing trades

  • Research and resolve margin wire breaks when necessary

  • Confirm corporate action events in real time


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Proficiency with computer platforms and applications

  • Ability to multitask

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Highly organized skill
