HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the Emerging Technology team. The Sales Associate, Emerging Technology, will assist in the overall sales process, manage opportunities in the sales force in the customer database, track communications, build presentations, as well as call upon customers. This role will be responsible for coordination of RFP and RFQ bid responses.

This role will assist national account and dealers sales personnel with quotes and orders in collaboration with required departments to drive internal processes. The Sales Associate, Emerging Technology will also assist in developing pointed messaging and marketing strategy.

This role will assist with the sales process at each stage.



The Sales Associate, Emerging Technology Will Have the Following Key Accountabilities:


  • Support with presentations, facility tours, collateral distribution, and follow up contact alongside Sales Managers

  • Help educate customers on products and their value

  • Develop business models, create and present quotes to dealers, NAMS and customers

  • Close deals on a timely manner to achieve the sales targets

  • Interface with Sr. Product Manager to ensure all new configurations are communicated to sales team

  • Answer dealer calls and emails to generate a sales pipeline and keep internal team members up to date

  • Work with sales lead to update all Salesforce opportunities

  • Report on a monthly and as-needed basis on the status of the sales pipeline in the monthly platform review meetings

  • Help standardize quote and order process - working closely with Field Service, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to identify opportunities

  • Create forms, presentations, and participate in high-impact messaging for both internal training and customer facing events

  • Assist in development of product literature by contributing to content

  • Conduct WebEx demonstrations of Emerging Technology portal functionality

  • Review and verify contracts internally to make sure deliverables are able to be met and are approved by legal

The Successful Sales Associate, Emerging Technology Will Meet the Following Minimum Requirements:


  • BS in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Engineering, or other Business related discipline

  • 1-3 Years in Sales, Business Development

  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills; ability to change verbal/written communication style depending on target audience

  • Understanding of Economic Models, ROI Concepts and pricing/cost structures, obtained through formal training and previous work experience

  • Sales and Marketing Experience: Technology sales experience preferred. Proven track record of selling products. Experience in developing long term relationships for sale of goods or services, and supporting various sales channels

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (macros, pivot tables ) & PowerPoint
