Job Description

Working under direct supervision of the Director, Benefits & Compensation, the Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of benefits programs. The Specialist provides excellent customer service and first level support to employees via phone and email and partners closely with the Human Resources team and other departments within the organization on benefit issues. In addition, the Specialist maintains all employee benefit records within the HR information system through data entry of benefits approvals. The Specialist ensures that the employee benefits records are in compliance with all required laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Specialist provides assistance and takes ownership of special benefits projects as assigned.

3 years of work experience in HR with at least 1 year in a Human Resources Benefits role

Basic knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures

Working knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, ADA, HIPAA and ACA

Experience with an HRIS application with ability to extract information, to create new and run standard reports

UltiPro experience preferred

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and pivot tables
