Based in Branson, Missouri, the Payroll Administrator position is a long-term temporary opportunity. What you get to do every single day - Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Calculate employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments to establish payroll liabilities - Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary - Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential - Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation - Review source documents with necessary verification - Offer assistance with internal and external audits related to payroll - Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies - Handle all payroll information questions and requests - Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data - Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities as needed - Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations
- Outstanding data entry skills - Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills - Foundational knowledge in Payroll Tax - Proficiency in garnishments payroll - Solid understanding of Full Cycle Payroll - Command of payroll systems for 100-500 employees - Withholdings experience highly desired - Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired - Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills - Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred - Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll - Knowledgeable about internal controls Please apply directly to firstname.lastname@example.org for immediate consideration.
