Clinical Denials Analyst

Responsible for the identification, analysis and resolution of technical and/or clinical based denials and appeals with insurance payers. The analyst will work with revenue cycle staff, clinical departments, and insurance payers (Governmental/Non-Governmental) to identify the source of denials and develop processes to eliminate and/or minimize denials and rejections to improve cash flow. The analyst works denied and underpaid accounts to obtain full reimbursement for services provided and identify denial and underpayment root causes.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field; or minimum of 3 years of progressive medical office and/or denial management experience.
Medical Terminology And ICD10 Coding Experience Preferred.
Communicates effectively both in written and oral format about clinical information.
Exercises sound judgment and problem-solving skills, finding facts, choices, and possible solutions.
Builds positive rapport with colleagues and works with all levels of the organization and third parties to resolve issues as needed.
Demonstrates excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
Displays excellent organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to detail.
Demonstrates flexibility to adjust workload.
Shares in performance improvement activities. Improves service by using feedback.
Uses financial, analytical and interpretive skills to produce the highest quality work in a timely manner.
