The Supervisor of Dietary is responsible for daily kitchen inspections to maintain required levels of cleanliness. The Supervisor will be responsible for all checks on refrigeration units weekly for storage of food items. The Supervisor will oversee the production of all food served from the kitchen to patients, guests and hospital personnel. The Supervisor will also manage personnel through hiring and training to ensure they receive adequate training.
Cover the schedule for call-ins on a daily basis
Prepare orders for necessary stock replacement
Check in food deliveries
Prepare Cafeteria menus on a monthly basis
Prepare special holiday menus as required; notify food production staff
Provide supervisory guidance to all cooks and dietary helpers
Plan and conduct in-service education for Dietary employees on a monthly basis
Evaluate employee competence in job-related knowledge and skills, safety, and infection control annually, and employee competence in equipment operation whenever new equipment is installed or when need is indicated by user error
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Prefer at least 6 months experience in a hospital setting. Catering experience is required.
