Quality Engineer - Four ten-hour days per week

This full-time, permanent Quality Engineer is at a growing yet stable machining company.  Products are made at a much higher level of quality to meet the critical needs of customers.  Employees are able to grow their careers as the company supports career growth.  Work hours are Monday through Thursday for ten hours per day.

The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass the following:
  • Investigating any non-conformity
  • Completing hypothesis tests, normal distribution tests & process capability analysis tests
  • Participate in coordinating & preparing submission package samples
  • Interacting with customers, management & vendors regarding quality issues  
  • Recommending corrective action
  • Ordering PPAP submissions
  • Determining manufacturing standards
  • Assisting in production problem resolution
  • Taking the lead on root cause analysis & corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations & procedures involving quality & safety
  • Researching & creating inspection methods / practices
  • Participating in APQP activities for new program
  • Maintaining ASQ Quality Engineer certification
  
Qualifications:
Candidates will have a minimum background consisting of the following:
  • Two years of related quality assurance experience
  • A degree or additional Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience
  • ISO9000 AS9100 Quality Management Systems and Standards knowledge
  • Documentation experience
