Overview

The Graphic Systems Division of FUJIFILM North America Corporation is the largest graphic distributor in the US. We deliver solutions for workflow, consultative services, remote monitoring, color standardization and G7 implementation, pressroom products, CTP, proofing, digital printing, wide format and more. FUJIFILM also manufactures and distributes Sericol inks and is a leader in the development of UV inks for the screen printing, narrow web, and large format digital printing industries.

We are currently hiring for a Flexographic Equipment Field Support Specialist (internally known as a Field Support Specialist) in the Southeast (preferably Atlanta, Tennesee, North Carolina, or South Carolina).  This individual will be responsible for providing consultative, professional technical support services to include Product Support services for both internal and external customers relating to the Packaging solutions. Install and train internal and external customers on software and hardware solutions unique to the Packaging graphics arts industry. Consult with customers on the appropriate plate type and run conditions as needed by identification of required customer application. Perform ink conversions and support the productions aspects of the ink in the Flexographic market to include technical aspects such as adhesion, color gamut and run length, etc. Assist in generating revenue through delivery of products and services. Identify additional opportunities as they become apparent in the day to day support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer and sales support for the Packaging and Screen Print markets based on the Fujifilm products and services offered
  • Achievement of assigned yearly performance goals
  • Conduct projects involving printability, adhesion, environmental, and other key attribute testing on Fujifilm inks and coatings to determine the durability and resistance of the print products
  • Promote and deliver consultative services to customers
  • Provide technical support and information to internal and external customers
  • Perform discoveries and audits to current and prospective customers that enhance the possibility of providing a Fujifilm Packaging solutions into said location
  • Perform and report on field evaluation of new and/or test beta solution products
  • Conduct product testing and evaluation at customer sites for analysis back to Product Management, also test within the Hanover Park ATC and KC lab
  • Measure and document product performance against benchmarks set per solution or industry standards. Report information to appropriate stake owners
  • Engage and resolve escalated customer problems. Take ownership to see the issue to resolution
  • Disseminate essential product information and competitive knowledge to internal and external customers as guided by Product Management
  • Perform on-site installation and configuring of software. This includes desktop and imposition applications, workflow RIP solutions, color management software applications and calibration
  • Provide training on essential product information both verbally and written to internal and external customers; ability to accurately evaluate customer’s employees after training and provide feedback to owners
  • Communicate technical issues to product management and technical support group; complete and submit activity information and paperwork timely to the appropriate group/department
  • Control territory costs within established budgets levels for T&E, auto, IT and other areas as determined by the company
  • Maintain Salesforce records, reporting activity daily and updating data as conditions require
  • Maintain current technical knowledge of product offerings and expand on new solutions
  • Participate in Industry events, trade shows, and company functions as requested
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of flexographic print, rotary screen or packaging application experience in a manufacturing, sales, print production, or similar position that required application knowledge and decision making quality
  • Ability to work with a high level of integrity and with minimal supervision
  • Essential communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to instruct others, both internal and external, in the Flexographic and Digital Production of Packaging.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills (product management, support, service, and management)
  • Self-starter and demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills.
  • Experience with Packaging press room, color management and/or prepress products and software applications used in Packaging Printing
  • Field experience in software applications specific to the Packaging graphic arts industry
  • Experience with specific products utilized in the Packaging graphic arts industry in the pre-press environment
  • Attain and maintain G7 Certification
  • Proficient with common workplace software, such as Mac OS, PC OS, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Valid Driver’s License and passport
  • Ability to travel ~50% including some international

Desired:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in business administration, marketing, or other appropriate discipline
  • 7+ years of print management or manufacturing of flexographic consumable products
  • Sales experience
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools
  • Prior history of direct customer consultation skills with upper level management
  • Knowledge of Anilox rollers
