Manager, Sales
Summary
The Sales Manager role is responsible for selling the entire range of Resorts World Las Vegas products. The focus will be on both new business sales and upselling to existing accounts to achieve revenue targets. The position involves cultivating relationships with major clients and generating new business within target markets, utilizing all available organizational resources.
Primary Job Duties:
- Solicit FIT bookings via approved travel agencies.
- Provide sales, services, and coordination of travel agent events with Hotel, Catering, Casino, and other related departments to facilitate needs and prevent conflicts in scheduling.
- Conduct and escort site inspections.
- Host prospective clients visiting the hotel, including dining and accompanying them to shows.
- Formulate GDS advertising plan on a quarterly basis to ensure proper messaging.
- Develop and institute strategies to ensure the capture of a significant amount of travel agent bookings in Las Vegas.
- Create awareness and actively sell and solicit all goods and services through attendance at trade shows and other industry functions.
- Meet or exceed room revenue and food and beverage quotas with small group bookings.
- Develop marketing suggestions to maximize occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods.
- Provide ongoing evaluation and account analysis on a monthly basis while tracking top producing agencies.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of competitor’s products and pricing.
- Travel as required by Department Head.
- Work with Corporate Advertising on development and content for travel agent newsletter, education program and agent incentives.
- Cooperate with others in matters of mutual concern and interact with all departments to ensure consistency on all projects.
- Develop and maintain a travel agent database to send promotional information via email and direct mail.
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job-related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to successfully mentor and lead a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a similar or related field.
- Working knowledge of Delphi and Opera.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of previous Hotel Sales, Entertainment, Advertising, or special events experience in a similar or related field.
- Minimum of three years of leadership/management experience in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
