Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Slippery Rock University

The Psychology Department at Slippery Rock University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August 2023 in the area of Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate Research Methods, Statistics, Introduction to Psychology, and beginning and advanced clinical courses
- Develop courses in the applicant’s specialty area
- Teaching load is 4/4

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program required
- ABD applications accepted; Ph.D. must be completed by August 1, 2023
- Active research program suitable for undergraduate students
- Commitment to educating diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:
- University-level teaching experience
- Strong commitment to teaching excellence
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Dedication to department and university service
- Experience in teaching APA-style writing
- Teaching experience in clinical courses, Research Methods, Statistics, and/or Introduction to Psychology preferred
- Commitment to mentoring student research
