This position is to work with Intercompany team on configurations on top of Virtual Trader tool. Knowledge in Virtual Trader tool required Knowledge in Finance and accounting business functions required Good communication Contract length expected to be 1 year
Description This position resides within IT Finance segment under the Intercompany Accounting domain. We are seeking for a senior functional analyst with experience using Oracle EBS Financial Modules and Virtual Trader configuration software. This position is multi-faceted and ideal candidate will possess knowledge of: • Complex Accounting Systems • Data Analysis • Virtual Trader • Oracle R12 database structure • Oracle SQL Developer • Middleware Technology • Agile Methodology • Business Acumen BSA will be acting as the Product Owner in developing global solutions for highly complex business challenges. BSA responsibilities include: requirements gathering and analysis, design, documentation, all phases of testing, deployment, training, and support. Candidate must have proven experience in managing internal and external business relationships, including the ability to convey functional and technical information to both IT and business audiences. The position is highly visible and transparency is important to keep team and project leaders updated on status and potential risk factors. Daily Job Functions: • Create solutions to implement complex accounting scenarios • Articulate business concepts with business partners, management, and Virtual Trader vendor resources • Act as a self-sufficient team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration • Analyze Accounting flows in terms of debits and credits for P&L and Balance Sheet entries • Review complex interconnected setups and impact to business • Monitor issues through final resolution • Interpret business requirements into workable solutions • Establish cost and time estimates for development/ implementation of projects • Implement, design and/or upgrade applications • Creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations, and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership • Guides end users through complex application functionality • Competent to work at a high technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Qualifications • Bachelor degree in a related field (Accounting, Business, CIS, CS, IS, MIS) • A minimum of 6 years recent work experience with ERP Financial Modules (GL, AP, Intercompany, AR, or Tax) • A minimum of 6 years recent work experience with Virtual Trader Tool • Basic Accounting knowledge for Intercompany transactions (COGS, Revenue, and Clearing) • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer writing simple queries or select statements with multiple joins • Documentation experience writing functional documents (MD050’s) and configuration documents (BR100) • Must have knowledge of SDLC and be able to adapt to changing methodologies • Experience supporting functional, SIT, UAT testing cycles • Experience with flow-charting software • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products • CPA desired, but not required
Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives Works with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technical, application or configuration solutions Solicits, develops, documents and manages requirements and provides detailed design and business rules to support the requirements throughout project life cycle up to and through change control Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment Reviews system test plans and system tests modules before implementation Creates, reviews and delivers end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) and training for accuracy Works with the user to select or create appropriate scenarios to test all results to determine whether system changes met project specifications; uses scenarios to assist the end user in acceptance testing In upgrades, monitors production performance enhancements and system integrity with end-users Develops detailed implementation and upgrade project plans in conjunction with other account team associates Ensures that documentation is updated when change requests are approved for the project Provides input on processes, procedures, or new approaches RESPONSIBILITIES Leads large scale or complex business systems and application upgrades or enhancement development and installations Serves as the subject matter expert and consulting resource for a functional area Performs gap analysis, risk management, and estimates for business cases; lead cross-functional teams to select and deliver solutions; direct work of developers and analysts Evaluates user requirements for one or more specialized business applications and translates those needs into defined user assessment plans or specifications Develops project plans and defines cost and time estimates for implementation and development of complex enterprise level solutions Creates business process flow charts for customer and technical review Works on applications and business problems that are highly complex and diverse in scope and may include multiple IT segments, global rollout, new technologies, new architectures Consistently reviews the Request For Proposal (RFP), Request For Information (ROI) and vendor relationships and implement changes as necessary Develops white papers to be published and/or presented at conferences; present internal brown-bag technical talks on cross-functional and technical topics Oversees configuration requests for a solution and understand implications of configuration options across a solution and other integrated systems Creates high complexity functional and solution designs using a disciplined methodology
