Analytics Engineer I - Remote

The Role:
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As an Analytics Engineer I this role will allow you to curate Core Analytics Table (CAT) structures that systematize institutional knowledge in order to simplify reporting throughout the organization. This requires working across technical, business, and analytics teams and acting as a translator while gathering requirements and preparing for coding. Building these CAT resources empowers this role to be part of a transformational effort across Centene.
As an Analytics Engineer you will:
Convert analytics business requirements into technical requirements through working with IT, business, and analytics partners. These requirements will then be converted into models and analytical resources for data analysts, reports, dashboards, and business users to leverage.
Requirements Gathering –Leverages defined templates and works within guardrails and interpret requirements.
Data Modeling – Leverages a basic understanding of data and analytics concepts to build tables and views under close supervision.
Analytics Code Development – Understands the foundations of code management and control. Creates simple SQL statements for data transformations and table curation or may implement SQL provided to them. Performs code review activities.
Source Code/Documentation Management – Understands foundational/academic source code and documentation principles. Applies source code and documentation activities leveraging existing procedures/policies.
Defect/Bug Investigation/Remediation – Addresses simple/non-critical defects and bugs. Works closely with a senior engineer to determine the path and methodologies for investigation.
Additionally you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Analytics, Health Information Management, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience required, and solid knowledge of SQL, SDLC, GIT, and RDBMS.
License/Certification:
DBT Fundamentals preferred
