POSITION PURPOSE

Develop reports & dashboards, transform data, and assist with the Extract Load Transform process within our Maintenance/Enterprise Data Management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Work on stored procedures using T-SQL, which will help transform them from Ramco (Our Source Application) into our Synapse Data warehouse in Azure.
* Identify and be proficient in building User Defined Functions on the current data warehouse.
* Build dashboards using Data flows and understand the concept between data sets vs Data Flows in Power-BI.
* Manage Independently owned Azure Data factory jobs that can help load data from various sources in to the Datawarehouse/Synapse Environment.
* Work on making the SQL Stored procedure jobs efficient | Be able to Performance Tune and be familiar with optimizing Execution plan in SQL.
* Willing to Learn about Azure Synapse (Azure Data warehouse) which will be the true source of the truth in the company for all data needs.
* Willing to learn Py-Spark and Scala in Databricks to help the business find innovative ways to stream data and help with data transformations.
* Knows SCD Type 1 and 2 Concepts about transactional history of a single record in the Datawarehouse.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, or equivalent
* At least three years of related work experience developing solutions using BI software
* Proficient using Windows based products including Excel, Word, & Outlook
* Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Knowledgeable in the design of GUI (graphical user interface) for interactive BI dashboards
* Basic to intermediate level skill in integrating data using BI software
* Basic to intermediate level skill in scripting
* Candidate should possess strong background in Data Analysis and have some data modeling experience
* Basic to Intermediate level skill in using T-SQL
* Experience in a Data Warehouse environment reporting on dimensions/hierarchies
* Strong knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process
* Strong knowledge and understanding of databases and applications development concepts
* Capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment
* Attention to detail, consistency, and a passion to produce a quality product

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
