Job Description

General Overview:.

The Project Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls project-planning and performance activities for effective management of electronic security installation projects to include, but not limited to, all aspects of systems scheduling, field installation, commissioning and financial success. Responsible for overall project budget management, project surveys, material procurement, project implementation and inspection scheduling. The Project Manager must be capable of executing the Project on time and within budget through effective communication, preparation and management of multiple project varying in size and complexity.The Project Manager is responsible for on-boarding and supporting the operational aspects of an assigned group of customer deployments.  Project Managers cultivate customer relationships and take steps to resolve any escalations across all seven North American time zones every hour of every day.

 General Responsibilities:

Manage high-profile projects applying technical and project management expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project expectations within established budgets and timeframes.

Managing and leading of the project kick-off, coordinating the schedules of technical staff, hiring subcontractors, scheduling Technicians, managing project budgets, invoicing customers and providing customers and project team members with project status updates.

Responsible for selection of subcontractors, scope review, site walks for completion, quality control, and closeout. 

Managing customer deployments (installation & service projects) throughout North America and customer-specific initiatives as requested by management.

Overseeing financial targets of each deployment, working with cross-functional departments to ensure profitability and minimize any variance.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the electronic security industry or 2+ years of related low voltage field required
  • Solid knowledge of PM techniques and tools, general knowledge of contract laws and regulations preferred.

*Proven record of managing remote project teams in the IT or Telecommunications fields.

*5-7 years of experience working on large deployed projects and programs.

*Expertise in the various alarm and access systems and/or vendors: S2 Access Control, Amano, Lenel, Avigilon, and all major intrusion MFG's hardware and control systems, etc.

Must be able to appropriately analyze data to make business-impacting decisions.

Must have strong written and verbal customer service and conflict management skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to tactically manage an operations relationship.

Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with preferred major in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job.
