Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a Director of Finance for a large public entity in the San Gabriel Valley area. We are looking for passionate individuals who want to help our client on an interim basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Technical Skills: ? Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, principles, and practices applicable to municipal governmental accounting (GAAP/GASB), debt issuance, treasury management, payroll, pensions, procurement, budgeting, and risk management. ? Knowledge of computer system applications related to municipal accounting and finance, experience with ERP New World-Tyler Technologies preferred. ? Ability to oversee and advise all aspects of the Annual Budget. (preliminary due May, final due June). ? Ability to oversee and advise all aspects of Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. ? Ability to maintain complex financial records, and to analyze and prepare reports. ? Responsible for federal, State, and local grants including reporting, review of reimbursement requests, and compliance. ? Ability to develop, supervise and evaluate staff effectively. Soft Skills: ? Ability to communicate clearly, manage for results and lead organizational change. ? Able to communicate at various levels within the organization ? Ability to work a 9/80 work schedule.
