Civil or Environmental Construction Inspector

EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Maryland, US (Onsite) Full-Time
Derived Salary: $50000 - $80000/Year

Come contribute to our team developing civil and environmental infrastructure projects as a Construction Inspector. We deliver solutions for our public works and private clients through all phases of a project lifecycle. This position is focused on construction inspection/oversight, with potential responsibilities and the opportunity for growth in construction management, operations support, and environmental monitoring.

What You Will Do

The Construction Inspector will work with a senior construction manager and engineers to oversee civil and environmental construction.

  1. Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards for projects including:
  • Stormwater management facilities
  • Water and wastewater facilities
  • Landfill cells and caps
  • Document construction activities through daily reports and photographs.
  • Work with the internal project team and contractor to correct any deficiencies.
  • Participate in routine construction progress meetings and provide status reports.
  • Support communication with contractors, clients, and regulators.
  • Assist internal project teams with a variety of field engineering tasks or environmental monitoring, as needed.
  • This position will be tailored to a specific candidate’s experience and personal interest and is best suited for an individual that is excited to develop experience across a range of projects.

    What You Need

    H.S. diploma/GED or an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, construction management, building construction, civil engineering, or a related field.

    4 or more years of civil or environmental construction inspection experience.

    Experience with soils/materials testing, reinforced concrete, utilities, pavement, drainage, and geosynthetics inspection is preferred.
