Mail Services Program Coordinator

The Mail Services Program Coordinator position oversees all responsibilities required to make all incoming and outgoing mail flow efficiently throughout the campus and leads the mail service program. This is achieved by sorting, processing, metering and maintaining of internal databases to ensure that mail services are provided with the highest level of service.
The Mail Services Program Assistant is responsible for the following:
* Operational - Receive and sort inter-office and all classes of USPS mail. Meter and prepare all outgoing USPS mail using data entry. This includes first class, express, and certified mail types.
* Administrative - Assists department lead as needed with routine database maintenance, creating and compiling report data, monthly billing, postage renewal and supply ordering. Assists with maintaining documents and databases. Creates and maintains instructional manuals.
* Compliance - Assists department to maintain US Postal Service compliance regulations. Maintains manuals for various compliance requirements.
* Customer Service - Acts as a customer service agent for all internal and external customers via various forms of communication, including email and phone. Identifies, investigates, and resolves customer service issues as needed. Explains regulations and compliance requirements to customers as needed.
* Supervisory - Supervises mailroom student employees. Trains new employees and assures that they follow rules and regulations relating to mail services.
* Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director
This position is internal and is open only to PSU employees.
