Job Description

The Schneider organization has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Corporate Accounting Manager in our Finance Department. The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall enterprise consolidation process and the review of intercompany transactions and profit eliminations, corporate consolidations accounting, consolidated general ledger and ownership of the consolidated trial balance as well as maintaining the fixed asset accounting function and system. This is inclusive of ensuring proper accounting for the Company’s corporate level transactions, such as corporate allocations, accrual calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations. The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will coordinate, manage and support monthly consolidation close activities for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.  Using a firm understanding of our entity structure, general ledger and financial systems, the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and data. This position partners with the entire corporate accounting team, finance, and business units to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting processes. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Overseeing the consolidated financial closings, special transactions, and local currency functional currency accounting processes (i.e., Consolidations of US GL with Mexico, Asia, Canada)
  • Prepare financial reporting, including internal and external statements.
  • Taking ownership of Company’s Intercompany and Intracompany Accounting Policy
  • Maintaining compliance with SOX and other internal controls policies
  • Being a Liaison with SEC Reporting to implement accounting practices related to new accounting pronouncements or SEC reporting requirements (i.e. Consolidation, Rev Rec, and Leases)
  • Researching and understanding relevant revenue related accounting issues and position the need for consistent revenue values from one source of data

Job Requirements

Our preferred candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
  • Seven plus years of practical work experience required
  • Public accounting, and/or internal audit experience a plus
  • Strong leadership with associate performance management experience, analytical ability, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and confidence; work cordially with others
  • Strong ability to influence and negotiate with any associate / leader
  • Demonstrated stress tolerance to work in a fast paced work environment with definitive timelines
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, teamwork orientation and diplomacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with large ERP (Oracle, SAP) a plus
