Compensation: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour

Oversees the editing process for all publications and media deliverables. Assists in writing and editing all hospital/health system publications, including html email newsletters. Participates in concept meetings and works with department director on content outlines and communication strategies. Coordinates with the Publications Manager for print and fulfillment. Oversees the editing process for all website copy. Reviews, edits, rewrites (as needed) to regularly update content on the website, and all established websites. Initiates appropriate review process with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and to gain approval. Ensures any SEO-focused web writing projects maintain appropriate content standards. Coordinates with the Web Team for implementation. Oversees the editing process for all copy produced for use in online and offline ads. Reviews all writing used in ad production (online and offline), prior to external placement, including: display ads, print ads, digital and traditional billboards, radio and TV scripts, brochures, flyers and other ad types as deemed necessary from the Media Plans. Coordinates with the Media Team on media placement schedules. Works with the Social Media Team to align content with their editorial calendar. Provides daily supervision and management of a staff of copywriters. Maintains employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off.

Job Requirements

Prior experience managing a team of copywriters in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment is required. Expertise in copywriting techniques and standards, grammar, proofreading and strong professional writing ability. Demonstrated communication and editorial skills. Thorough knowledge of healthcare/hospital marketing, including advertising procedures and requirements. Detail-orientation, adherence to prioritization and deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills. Collaborative team player, thrives in fast-paced environment.
