Designs, builds, deploys, and maintains multimedia courseware on a variety of computer platforms as well as tablets and other approved mobile devices.
Uses a variety of authoring systems or web technologies to implement storyboard training content for presentation to trainees to include development of native and web-based apps for mobile devices.
Designs and develops user-interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements.
Provides technical direction for incorporation of multimedia elements within training applications.
Uses a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to produce video for efficient playback on various platform requirements.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Candidates should have basic knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Overview knowledge of the software and solutions architectures, and common industry tools and techniques. Additional experience in one or more of the following key focus areas is seen as highly desirable:
Familiarity with some or all of these programming languages: C++, C#, Python, Java Script, Visual Basic so that utilization during building of virtual environments might be leveraged into other constructive simulations for current and future programs
Familiarity with various game engines, particularly: Unity and Unreal, others are a plus
Some familiarity in using leading edge tools such as Photogrammetry, Z-brush, or other COTS applications which accelerate environment development
Some familiarity with the construct of and development of multi-player/multi-role game environments.
Familiarity with game plugins and how to optimize these such as (not all inclusive, examples only):
- VR: HTC Vive, Oculus Crescent Bay, Samsung VR
- AR: Hololens
- Xbox, Leap
- A basic understanding of the differences between preparing an app for placement on the Google Play Store or iTunes store for Mobile apps
- Familiarity with data base systems such as some common terrain generation tools such as TerraSim or TerraVista and supporting applications (Shape files, vector data, etc.)
Some knowledge of Cloud computing in topic areas such as: Infrastructure and Platform as a Service, Architectures, and Cloud architectures
