Using discretion and independent judgment. Performs quality patient care as a member of the respiratory team, providing intensive respiratory care and patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed and with minimal supervision. This position does provide direct patient care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Facilitates the achievement of maximum therapeutic care potential for patients. Provides consultation with regard to pulmonary disorders and respiratory therapy practices.
Licenses or Certifications
This position requires a licensed RRT or CRRT, by the NBRC, licensed by the state as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
CPR required
ACLS certification preferred

Functions proficiently in a Microsoft Windows environment
Oxygen equipment, humidifiers, nebulizers, spirometers, suction equipment, EKG machine, Holter monitor, Electronic charting system, basic office equipment, Bi-Pap/CPAP machines, Pulmonary function testing equipment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds, which may require push, pull and utilizing full range of body movements. Ability to stand, sit, reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl, grasp, use fine finger movement.
Indoors in climate controlled, well-lighted, and ventilated environment
