Quality Engineer at System One

Quality Engineer

System One Sallisaw, OK (Onsite) Full-Time
System One is searching for a Quality Engineer. This position will e stablish and maintain quality procedures, ensuring that proper written procedures are in place for the production operations throughout the facility. Auditing of these procedures is a requirement to assure their adherence.

The e ssential duties of this position are:

Customer Support

+ Maintain access to customer websites and databases to ensure compliance to customer specific requirements, including customer plant quality issues requiring 8-D responses

+ Lead external and internal customer problem resolution meetings

+ Lead or support problem-solving analysis; report on customer field returns with product engineering as part of a cross functional team. This analysis includes visual, mechanical, dimensional and metallurgical characteristics. Determine the root cause to drive corrective/preventive actions

+ Prepare PPAP packages as required

Current Production

+ Lead or support problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement

+ Review data acquisition in the production data collection system to ensure alignment with the control plan

+ Review and analyze performance (i.e. Hertzler software, End of Line Data, etc.) and drive timely corrective actions in support of process capability maintenance and improvement

+ Lead release and maintenance of quality alerts; scrap disposition per appropriate procedures

+ Support change management activities

+ Support layered process audit findings and resolution

+ Support development of risk reduction and detection (Poka Yoke) of non-conforming product characteristics

+ Report quality issues and trends to management

+ Other quality related projects as assigned in support of business goals

+ Lead investigation of non-conforming product (i.e. EOL failures, performance issues, product variation reductions, etc.

Product Launches

+ Review customer drawings, specifications and change requests as required and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and control plans

+ Conduct data acquisition verifications to ensure the production data collection system aligns with the control plan and product drawings

+ Support APQP tasks (i.e. prototype control plan, process flow, PFMEA, process documentation, problem solving, gauge planning and acquisition)

+ Lead APQP tasks (i.e. development of production control plans, managing gauge R&R studies, defining inspection and data collection for product characteristics and verification of compliance to customer specific requirements)

Qualifications for this position are:

+ Education/Knowledge/Experience

+ This position requires a bachelor's degree preferably in engineering and zero to three years of experience.

+ Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be educated in the application of participative management concepts.
