Responsibilities of the position are but are not limited to:

  • Work with colleagues meet to deadlines on unique, complex, and challenging projects.
  • Contribute to air quality projects spanning a variety of subject areas including permitting, regulatory compliance analysis, air dispersion modeling, emissions reporting, auditing, and more.
  • Evaluate intricate regulatory and permit situations and concepts as part of knowledgeable and experienced project teams.
  • Support air quality compliance management in multiple industries, including chemical/petro-chem, refining, electrical utility, petroleum refining, and manufacturing.
  • Develop and peer review quality work products individually and part of a team to meet client and regulatory deadlines

The Ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of air quality rules, regulations and agency structure in Texas and surrounding states.
  • Experience with initial applications, renewals and revisions for variety of permitting mechanisms, including, but not limited to: Title V, NSR, NNSR, PSD, GHG, Standard Permits, and Permits by Rule.
  • Effectively verbal and written communication with other technical specialists.
  • Capable of working efficiently and effectively alone or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software.
  • Air dispersion modeling experience preferred.

Role Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related field; M.S. preferred.
  • 2- years of air quality permitting, compliance and/or modeling experience; consulting experience preferred.
