Project Engineer - National Team Engineering

**Description:** Make a lasting impact\! Be part of a team that brings together leading missile defense industry experts to help guide the future of the Missile Defense Agency's \(MDA's\) ballistic and hypersonic Missile Defense System \(MDS\)\.

National Team\-Engineering \(NT\-E\) is MDA's one\-stop shop for systems engineering reach\-back into the major companies that build the essential elements of the MDS\.

Systems Engineers on the National Team are helping to drive the future systems that will protect the United States, its friends and allies for generations to come\.

The National Team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to perform the following tasks in Huntsville, Alabama:

\- This position is a project engineering integration role in a team of modeling and simulation developers and analysts that utilize multiple models to simulate current and future Missile Defense architectures\.

\- This position will coordinate analysis activities and products among functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks\.

\- The position will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to individuals representing National Team - Engineering \(NT\-E\) and the Missile Defense Agency \(MDA\)\.

\- This position is in Huntsville, AL\. Secret clearance required\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

\- Individual must have a technical background in Systems Engineering Analysis including system performance analysis with numerical modeling and simulation\.

\- Experience coordinating small size team activities and managing project milestones and progress\.

\- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment\.

\- Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Defense System \(BMDS\) including sensors, command and control, and weapon systems \(i\.e\., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground\-based Midcourse Defense \(GMD\), Fire Control \(FOM, GFC\), C2BMC, BMDS sensors \(EO/IR/RF\), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, counter\-countermeasures, and threats\)\.

**Desired Skills:**

\- EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, missiles/interceptors, discrimination analysis, detection/tracking, or Command and Control \(e\.g\., C3I, C4I, etc\.\)\.

\- Familiarity with Matlab and C\+\+ programming\. Experience designing and conducting system concept trade studies\.

\- Individual must possess good communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills\.

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Clearance Level:** Top Secret

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
