The Housekeeping Supervisor will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Completes daily inspections and reviews of the facility, with documentation deemed appropriate to do so. Inspections are to be completed with staff present, positives and negatives are to be discussed with the staff member and they should sign the associated documentation.

  • Reports directly to the Director of Plant Operations. Works in-line with the vision of the Director and Brentwood Hospital. Creates department schedules, completes in-services, and department meetings as needed.

  • Oversee and ensure all weekend cleaning and cleanliness throughout the facility. Complete daily Supervisor checklist. Accepts other duties as assigned.

  • Works as a team member to promote a positive work environment. Delegates work as needed; ability to change tasks and shift focus in a timely manner as needed.

Job Requirements

The position of the Housekeeping Supervisor will report to the Director of Plant Operations. Previous healthcare experience is required. Previous supervisor experience is preferred. During times of reduced census the holder of this position will be required to work in a staffed position, while still carrying the title of supervisor. This person will be an active member of the EOC committee, the emergency preparedness committee and will also attend PNIC as an informed advisor and participant. This person will be required to hold in-services, monthly department meetings, and also safety updates as needed. This person will be required to attend all staff meetings regularly. This person will need to be computer literate, understand SDS, and standard healthcare cleanliness practices. This person will be required to report cleanliness to the EOC committee monthly and work with the IC teams to ensure appropriate infection control throughout the facility. This person is responsible for scheduling the department to meet the needs of the facility based off of census and budget requirements.  Must obtain DOT Hazardous Materials certificate within 30 days of hire. Additional trainings may be required in the future.

  • Education: Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Experience: Healthcare experience in housekeeping required. 
  • Hours of Work:  Determined by the Director of Plant Operations according to the needs of the facility; includes a minimum of 2 weekends per month.
