The project involves opening a training record from an existing system, reading off the details contained within, and transcribing those records accurately to the new training database system. The original documents may come from stored emails, digitized hand-written forms, or forms produced in PDF. The new database system is a webform, with several fields that must be precisely filled.
Education Required: high school or GED (optionally, any college or technical school or on-the-job educational credit hours)
Experience Required: One or more years of data entry or similar computer-based work experiences
Responsibilities may include the following: - Provides general administrative support including preparing communications and maintaining schedules.
- Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files; arranging meetings and conferences; gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor's assignment.
- Administers interdepartmental or interunit programs or processes.
- May be responsible for coordinating travel and submitting expenses.
- OFFICE SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Individual contributors who provide organizational related support or service (administrative or clerical) for other members within the organization.
- Majority of time is spent in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision.
- Works on well-defined administrative and clerical tasks.
- Works to deliver on day-to-day objectives with some impact on the achievement of results for the job area, including limited disruption or expense.
- Delivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures
- Communicates with contacts typically within the immediate job area.
Specific job tasks: taking existing training records from an outdated system and transferring each one to the new system; understand how to perform data entry in the new system; and, to report to manager/supervisor on progress and with database issues.
