Principal Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join our R&D team. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in electrical systems design, development, mentorship, and integration - ideally within the maritime autonomy industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing our ASV solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Responsiblities
- Spearhead the conceptualization and design of cutting-edge electrical systems and solutions tailored to the specific needs of our autonomous surface vessel startup.
- Guide, mentorand empower a team of electrical engineers, nurturing a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continual enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with diverse teams to translate strategic goals into tangible electrical engineering objectives and outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth exploration and evaluation of emerging electrical technologies and industry trends to enrich our product portfolio.
- Develop and manage comprehensive documentation, encompassing design blueprints, testing protocols, and technical insights.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry protocols, and safety measures at every stage of product development.
- Execute intricate electrical computations, simulations, and assessments to optimize system performance and streamline efficiency.
- Address intricate electrical engineering hurdles through innovative problem-solving strategies within our fast-paced development environment.
- Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, while effectively managing resources and budgets to ensure project success.
- Stay abreast of the latest breakthroughs in electrical engineering, actively integrating new knowledge to enhance the capabilities of our products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in defense, technology, or similarly fast-paced environments, overseeing successful electrical engineering projects from inception to market introduction.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies, with a proven history of delivering groundbreaking innovations.
- Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard electrical design and simulation software tools.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, fostering team motivation and mentorship while cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Strong aptitude for project management and organizational acumen, consistently achieving project objectives within allocatedtimeframes and budgets.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities, exhibiting adaptability and ingenuity in navigating diverse challenges.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with best practices in fast-paced environments, including agility, adaptability, and thriving in dynamic settings.
