Job Description:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, directly assists the GI Physician during endoscopy procedures and as a second assistant to RN during selected procedures. Prepares GI procedure rooms for use and cleans the rooms and equipment after use. Reports to the Nurse Manager GI Endoscopy.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician Program or comparable program preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience with upper endoscopy and colonscopy procedures preferred with basic knowledge of GI procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control principles
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with exposure to all patient elements.
