Human Resources Clerk for Jamaica NY

Pay: $23.00 an hour

General Responsibilities:
The Human Resources clerk assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR clerk carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, administration, and employment.
Specific Duties/Essential Job Functions: (Other duties may be assigned)
* File, retrieve, and organize personnel documents and files
* Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships employee and management
* Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
* Recruiting and staffing logistics;
* Performance management and improvement tracking systems;
* Assisting with employee relations;
* Company employee communication;
* Compensation and benefit administration and record keeping;
* Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting; and complete verification of employment.
* Maintain employee files and the HR filing system;
* Assisting with the day-to -day efficient operation of the HR office
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Employee must comply with the Company's uniform and grooming standards and must wear his or her SIDA badge/Airport ID at all times.

Employee must also comply with regulatory agency requirements, including, but not limited to, the ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA, and Federal, State, and Local authorities.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills /Experience
1 or more years of payroll experience
1 or more years of administrative experience
Overall:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal, including the successful completion of a background check and ten- year work history.
