We are seeking an HR Business Partner/HR Manager for a full-time position in Orangeburg, NY.
Apply a sound understanding of customers and business strategy / goals. Recommend new approaches to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
Provide counsel, coaching and mentoring at the senior management level particularly in the areas of talent management, employee engagement and employee relations / communications. Provide managers with strategic direction regarding organizational structure and approaches to leverage staffing and talent needs.
Implement the company's talent, development, performance management, engagement programs that drive higher levels of employee performance.
Manage and oversee recruiting efforts to attract the industry’s best and brightest candidates; assess needs, oversee related processes, provide guidance on competitive offers, prepare documents, and facilitate the offer to on-boarding cycle.
Review and analyze data to support the development of HRIS and the provision of quality HR management information.
Drive employee engagement through close partnership with staff and leadership, leading focus groups and action planning as required. Monitor the \'pulse\' of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Partner with CNY Site Leader to partner closely with the Union and provide Employee Relations guidance through grievances, arbitration, etc.
Ensure all appropriate statutory and regulatory compliance requirements related to labor and employment are met. Consult with managers and staff on employee relations issues, conduct investigations and make recommendations in response to management and staff concerns; Deploy HR processes, policies and procedures and other activities to support, counsel and educate managers and employees on HR issues.
Provide day to day \u201chands on\u201d operational HR support in respect of all generalist HR activities.
Driving sustainable organizational change both structural and cultural in a fast paced dispersed environment; enabling the transition from a decentralized to centralized functional structure.
Challenging the status quo in a union site (CNY) with long tenure leadership.
Establishing trust and credibility with site leadership, HR organization and site employees will be a key success factor. Building strong influence relationships throughout the organization, at a regional and Americas level often at a distance will be key to this individual’s success.
Leading and helping others to lead and manage within a newly formed matrixed organization.
Providing proactive leadership to positively impact all stakeholders at both sites and within the broader HR community (projects and reporting requirements) will require significant personal commitment and planning.
Balancing the requirement for both Operational and Strategic HR support.

Subject Matter Expert: Extensive proven experience in generalist HR leadership including organization development, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, talent management. Change Delivery: Previous proven change management experience. Spirit and attitude to inspire and drive change.
Organizational skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; Arranges information in a useful manner.

Communication: Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex ideas in a compelling and comprehensive manner.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations or MBA preferred.
Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years in a strategic business partner / HR Manager role of a similar size & scope.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 2 years of Labor Relations experience in a manufacturing environment.
