Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager

Position summary:

The Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager will oversee the logistical support for all programs under this contract.  Acts as the overall lead logistician in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of ILS elements during a job assignment in or in support of an operational command.  Primary lead and interface for acquisition and/or operational logistics planning and shall perform independent work to provide logistics and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations. The duties and responsibilities listed herein are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Position accountabilities include:

  • Ensure proper supply chain management procedures are in place to include procurement, warehousing, transportation, property and management of logistics resources.
  • Manage the logistical process, in a transparent, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Serve as the primary representative to the Government on all logistics and support PAE senior leadership by providing timely information on all matters.
  • Provide direction and oversight for tracking and managing existing and newly procured equipment in accordance with government and corporate policies.
  • Coordinate regularly across area managers to ensure timely support for mission objectives.
  • Understand the unique needs of the project team and develop new practices, manuals, and SOPs as needed to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving department, as well as directing and supervising diverse staff.
  • Direct and execute the physical inventory of supplies, bench stock, ready supply, and GFE.
  • Manage warehouse distribution operations and provide effective property oversight and risk mitigation strategies.


  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in acquisition and/or operational logistics, 3 years of which must have been in the previous 10 years, in support of Navy Aircraft Support Equipment acquisition logistics.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline from a four-year college or university.


  • Ability to integrate as an active and functioning member of a team.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritize tasks based on considerations of safety and mission importance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of initiative, ingenuity, logic, and/or creativity
  • Experience in logistics contingency planning and remote inventory monitoring.
  • Must be able to work effectively under stress and pressure.
  • Must have good relationship with subordinates, co-workers, supervisors, and staff working in other departments and on other programs
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proven experience in designing and managing both large and small procurement operations.
  • Regional experience/experience working in an austere setting.
  • Ability to work independently on given programs/projects and perform with minimal oversight/direction

Working Conditions will vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
