Responsible for managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities and requests having to do with patient care and satisfaction in a out-patient physician practice practice, to include but not limited to: meeting/greeting patients, answering multiple phones lines, scheduling patients, calling insurance companies to verify benefits, collecting co-pays and deductibles. Also reschedules patient appointments, enters patient information into MERGE RIS System. Maintains updates and communicates closely with the billing office. Creates a positive impression at all times while contributing to a lasting professional relationship by the warmth of their personalized greeting and their ability to efficiently manage patient reception, registration, and a variety of patient and provider requests. Responsible for displaying knowledge of specific physician related RIS systems and able to multi task in a busy patient practice accurately. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
High School graduate or GED
Demonstrated track record of strong PC skills
Receptionist or related experience required, Physician practice experience or healthcare experience preferred
Experience with a Practice Management system and EMR/EHR experience preferred through work experience
