The PRN/Weekend Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients by physician referral. He/she plans treatment programs and performs therapy procedures to restore function, prevent disability and maximize the potential and quality of life following disease, injury or surgery. He/she appropriately modifies treatment plans and procedures specific to adolescence, young adult, middle adult and late adult patients, and uses communication techniques for specific age groups. He/she applies knowledge of growth and development and the aging process to obtain optimal results. He/she participates in departmental activities as requested by the Manager of Rehabilitation Services. This individual may participate in the clinical supervision of students, physical therapy assistants, and rehab operations assistants.
BS degree in Physical Therapy required. Valid SC Physical Therapist license required.
