Job Description


IGT’s HTML5 System team is focused on providing the ability to deliver next generation HTML 5 based content on a legacy floor via the Service Window and offer Casino Operators the flexibility to modify the Service Window content in an easy way. 
 
As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) who can contribute to the testing of such innovative solutions within IGT systems and deliver a world class customer experience. The successful candidate will be familiar with cloud technologies and testing in the cloud as well as have a proven experience with automation as well as software quality assurance.
 
Primary responsibilities include:
• Designing/implementing robust and scalable test scenarios and automation
• Work closely with Development teams:  participate in design and code reviews, measure code coverage, assess overall system quality
• Executing and evaluating the results of the automated test runs and performing code coverage analysis

Additional responsibilities include:  participating to specifications reviews; writing clear and concise bug reports; provide project status reports; contribute to product documentation reviews.
  First Year Goals
• Learn and understand the product functionalities, architecture and design
• Learn the Systems QA processes, practices and tools in use
• Get fully acquainted with the Agile scrum process and team
• Designing/implementing robust and scalable test scenarios and automation
• Work closely with Development teams:  participate in design and code reviews, measure code coverage, assess overall system quality
• Executing and evaluating the results of the automated test runs and performing code coverage analysis
• Writing clear and concise bug reports
• Provide project status reports
• Contribute to product documentation reviews.

Job Requirements


• Master/Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience 
• 2+ years’ experience in developing automated black and/or white box testing 
• Solid programming experience with at least two of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, C#, Python
• Understanding and usage of JSON, XML and CVS data structures
• Experience developing automated tests with some of the common white-box test frameworks in the industry today (Mocha, Jasmine, JMeter, Junit, Selenium, etc.)
• Strong in trouble-shooting skills, and capable of reviewing source code and developing functional tests against it
• Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task
• Have a passion for software quality and is a champion for the end user
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with web applications and/or web services  and in particular with the following technologies/languages: Node.js, HTML/5, CSS, REST, WebSockets, DOM
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins
• Experience working with virtualization technology 
• Experience with MySql, PostgresSQL, and other open source SQL
