As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking an EpicCare Professional RCM PB Trainer to join our growing team in New Jersey. The RCM PB Trainer & Support role primarily serves in the EMR Department to work in our Secaucus Administrative office in New Jersey. The RCM PB Trainer & Support role works in conjunction with the EMR Director and as part of a team to support and maintain the clinical information system. The candidate develops and maintains a positive working relationship with physicians and user departments to ensure appropriate training and utilization of Epic Systems EMR.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads end-user training using workflow specific curricula. This includes preparing for class, setting up the classroom, facilitating the class, and following up on any outstanding questions that arise in the classroom
  • Conducts classroom or virtual trainings for end-users on Epic, including all clinical and business applications with additional healthcare technologies
  • Contributes on revenue cycle base team to design and establish cash-flow optimization tools, improving a clean claim
  • Reports feedback from trainees in class to the reporting lead of application and training department
  • Partners with Application Analysts to implement effective end user training plans and practices
  • Aligns professional billing training manuals with the organization’s new workflows through the Epic Quarterly upgrades
  • Collaborates with Epic application analysts and revenue cycle directors to optimize Epic functionality and increase organization’s earnings
  • Works collaboratively with management and subject matter experts to assess learning/performance needs and deliver appropriate training solutions
  • Tests and troubleshoots existing/proposed technology systems and training environments
  • Uses critical thinking, effective communication, decision-making processes and tools to analyze situations and make effective decisions
  • Frequently travels from location to location within the healthcare system
  • Tests and validates lesson plans and training environment build
  • Administers end-user proficiency assessments and in-system checklists
  • Supports end users with at-the-elbow go-live support
  • Administers post-live refresher, optimization, new hire, and skills-enhancement training
  • Upgrades Testing & Support for new changes made in the system/items are to be tested and validated upon Go-Live
  • Due responsibilities of position, works beyond regularly scheduled hours, on-call/rotating weekends, nights and weekends when necessary and perform other duties when necessary
  • Travels, observing office workflows and providing go-live implementation support 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university or equivalent work experience 
  • 2+ years of experience in Go-Live at the elbow support, testing & support desk 
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Epic PB Implementation Life Cycle 
  • Experience with project management or workflow analysis 
  • Experience with MS Office applications and document creation software
