As part of the Navigation Engineering Team, we are looking for a Radio Navigation Signal Processing and Algo Engineering. The candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Be part of the integrated Navigation Engineering team co-located in Rome working in G2G satellite, Lunar and LEO PNT opportunities in close cooperation with the engineering community.
- Modelling, analyze, and characterize the Navigation Analysis and simulations for the next generation GNSS.
- End-to-End Navigation satellite modelling and simulation, including implementation of the specific architecture.
- Define and implement algorithms and tools for Navigation performance analysis; acquire knowledge, operate, and maintain the current tools in the company.
- Define, plan, and conduct simulation campaigns to evaluate end-to-end Navigation Payload Performances, support trade-offs and Signal-In-Space evolutions; interpret and analyze results.
- Support the pre-development activities related to the areas of Navigation Payload, Signal and Performance.
- Support development and procurement phase of Navigation Payload equipment and contribute to Payload budgets.
- Contribute to internal and R&D activities for the design, modelling, architectural trade-off and performance assessment of advanced Navigation payloads.
- Contribute to the development/usage of section related laboratory facilities and analysis/simulation tools.
- Maintain state-of-the-art expertise by monitoring the space Signal-In-Space trends and applying them in the day-to-day tasks.
- Act as a technical interface with the Customer, including coordination of the Navigation Engineering Team, as needed; present the achieved results in technical meetings in front of national and international stakeholders (industrial entities, customers, conferences).
Skills & Experience
The candidate shall have the following qualifications and working experience:
- PhD /University Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in signal processing, modelling, analyses, and simulations.
- Very good attitude in teamwork and cooperation with other team members.
- Good knowledge of Navigation satellite systems, including a good background of Radio Frequency payloads measurements instruments for space systems.
- Very good knowledge of software, simulation tools, and programming (Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Python) including Architectural Framework Tools (Melody, Modaf, etc.).
- Team-working, problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Italian language is desirable.
- EC nationality.
- Applicants must have work experience on classified activities and must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administration.
