This is a fully remote position with hours Monday - Friday 10am-7pm. Applicants must reside in Houston or Orlando in ordered to be considered.
Position Purpose: Enter patient and various information into applicable systems while managing the queue ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Complete intake process of new patients and existing patients on service
• Fax necessary information to physician offices
• Enter patients' pharmacy and medical insurance information to their profile
• Complete the Coordination of Benefits information
• Perform procurement of baseline laboratory results and other related documentation to assist the clinical team in initial clinical care planning
• Adjudicate prescription claims electronically and assist with determining if the correct insurance was entered, if a prior authorization was required, patient copay and various related items and document all the information
• Perform various related tasks as determined by management
• Assist with inbound calls from patients, physicians office and insurance companies
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred. 0-2 years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Experience performing input of medical information at a pharmacy or doctor's office. Strong customer service skills and a familiarity with pharmacy procedures.
