The Accounting Supervisor for Wholesale Accounting will be responsible for the supervision of accounting professional in the Wholesale Accounting department. This position will oversee the posting of transactions to the general ledger to obtain and maintain accounting and statistical records. This role will also direct the day-to-day activities for their direct reports. Must have a wide degree of creativity and independence.

Manage closing checklists
Prepare/review/sign-off on account reconciliations
Prepare/review/approve, manual/one-time journal entries
Provide guidance and direction to Wholesale accounting team
Mentors staff under direct and indirect reporting relationships
Provide professional development and conduct performance reviews
Ownership of certain areas of the Balance Sheet
Ensure compliance to internal controls and Company and JSOX policies
Assist in preparation of financial statements
Assist in annual budgeting process as well as, quarterly forecasts
Perform/review fluctuations of financial statements
Assist in quarterly and year-end audits
Prepare routine and ad hoc reporting accompanied by the required supporting documentation for management
Research and document the impact of more complex accounting principles
Utilize good judgment in the execution of role
Perform job with integrity and transparency
Communicate effectively with senior financial management
Is a leader for all of TBC
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA and/or Master’s Degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting and/or related field
Prior supervisory experience required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of current industry practices when solving business problems
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Identifies critical issues with ease
