Job Title: Piping Planner

Job Summary:

EMCOR Services Scalise Industries has an immediate need for a Piping Planner at its office in Lawrence, PA. This position will prepare necessary design and coordination drawings consistent with project plans and specifications.

General Functions and Responsibilities:

Provide necessary design and coordination drawings including:

• Shop drawings and detail drawings.
• Coordination drawings.
• Prefabrication drawings.
• As-built drawings.
• Read and understand contract drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Work closely with Project Managers and associated personnel relating to contract changes, equipment buyouts, RFIs, change orders, etc.

Additional Duties:

• Actively be involved with the Job Supervisors, Foremen, and Project Managers to provide information and assist in the solution of design-related problems.
• Have a good knowledge of the construction process.
• Work with the Prefabrication Department in the fabrication of work going to the field.
• Attend coordination meetings with various trades as a representative of the company.
• Navigate folder structures to locate and retrieve required information in job folders.
• Understand file naming conventions to accurately send or receive and place files in appropriate locations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the plumbing and/or HVAC piping industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting design and coordination drawings in the plumbing and/or HVAC industry on AutoCAD MEP, Revit & Navisworks.
