Individual works hand and hand with Client Development Managers to achieve two goals (1) ensure from order to cash that build is on-time and delivered to client expectations and (2) look for opportunities to achieve incremental sales within assigned clients. This individual is the front-line sales contact for the client on all matters related to new and upcoming orders as well as the single point contact for the client on order status from order to cash.
•Develop quotes with engineering, materials, pricing teams to respond to client with quick turnaround times for new business requests. Secures orders from existing and potential customers.
•Inquire with clients for opportunities to enhance revenues for Utilimaster. This could include additional services that fleet management companies provide to areas where other service providers are failing. Look for areas where Utilimaster could provide better service and propose enhancements in tools, processes, or products as appropriate to capture more business from competition
•Continuously develop the relationship between Utilimaster and assigned clients. Anticipate needs, take proactive presence with clients to ensure they receive timely & high quality responses to all sales related topics. Help ensure that engineering and customer support do not miss any communications or commitments made on behalf of Utilimaster.
•Own customer account information for Utilimaster systems, ensure that orders are processed from initial purchase order to cash (chassis delivery, customer supplied item delivery, build, invoice and to point of delivery to client).
•Develop and to the extent possible help Utilimaster automate strategic process reporting (on-time delivery, value stream throughput, plant efficiency, status reports) to clients such that Utilimaster is the preferred supplier and easy to do business with.
•Respond timely (same day) to requests by customer for quotes, product orders, product inquiries, technical engineering support and services to ascertain customer needs. Many of these inquires originate in the sales team but should be directed to other internal groups. Ensure that the customer is receiving answers while training the client to engage the correct teams within Utilimaster.
•Contact prospects and explain features and merits of products and services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
•Host clients on-site at Utilimaster. Develop agenda, coordinate vehicle reviews, ensure customer experience reflects total value proposition of Utilimaster (plant tour, customer support review, engineering led product review)
•Process and maintain sales orders and change orders.
•Close transactions and maintain communications with customer.
•May demonstrate products and provide customer assistance when necessary.
•Perform related sales support activities as assigned.
•Maintain relationships with salespersons to assist with sales and customers.
•Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn various software systems. At times will be handling in excess of $5M transactions with Fortune 100 clients.
•Strong customer relations capabilities. A people person with the ability to establish rapport (trust), takes action, and delivers results. Interest in developing relationships across various organizational responsibilities (At customer: fleet manager, fleet coordinator, purchasing, and accounting, internally to UTM: All functions/departments.
•Organizational, problem-solving, analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products
•Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
•Travel to client location(s) for introduction of client development team and hold lessons learned sessions from fleet builds.
