Job Description

Are you proficient at conducting Phase 1 Environmental Assessments and/or Property Condition Assessments and writing technical client reports?

Do you enjoy travelling nationally on a regular basis to service your clients?

Then this is the job for you!

Environmental Scientists in our Due Diligence group will travel nationally up to 100% to conduct Phase 1 and Property Condition Assessments for our national clients. Frequent travel to our client's project locations across the United States is required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) Phase 1 as per ASTM standards.
  • Conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCA) as per ASTM standards.
  • Write detailed client-facing ESA and PCA reports including the preparation of accurate data/summary tables and/or figures.
  • Assist senior managers in the coordination of work activities for multiple project functions to ensure satisfying delivery.
  • Assist senior managers in meeting milestones, budgetary limits, deadlines, or other performance indicators.
  • Assist in the selection and/or management of project staff members and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses for sites.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related environmental field required.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an environmental scientist role conducting ASTM Phase I assessments and Property Condition Assessments.
  • Working knowledge of ASTM assessment standards.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite required. Familiarity with CAD, and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs a plus.
  • Ability/willingness for frequent national travel for field work. Valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements

Physical requirements include the ability to walk job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain, climbing of ladders to access and evaluate roofing conditions and roof-mounted equipment when conducting PCA projects, and carrying field testing equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites with regularity.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is from $55,000 to $85,000.
