First Alarm Security and Patrol has an immediate job opening for an Account Manager at Natividad Hospital.

Work Location: United States-California-Salinas, California – Natividad Medical Center

Schedule: Full-time

Description About Natividad Hospital

The account manager position is for a 172-bed acute care hospital. The hospital operates with a medical staff of over 380 physicians and has several specialty clinics and outpatient primary care clinics. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center providing the immediate availability of specialized personnel, equipment and services to treat the most severe and critical injuries.

The facility is fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

  1. Title: Manager Safety & Security, Emergency Services/Emergency Preparedness & Communications

  2. Reports to: Director of Facilities and Branch Operations

  3. Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible for providing organization, structure and training for planning, developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive Safety and Security Management, Emergency Preparedness and Communication programs. Audits and reports daily, weekly and monthly statistical data. Functions as the primary liaison with staff in the operation of the various program components. Responsible for organizational compliance with The Joint Commission Environment of Care and OSHA standards related to the programs outlined above. Keeps abreast of and ensures compliance with relevant federal, state and local statues, regulations and reporting requirement.

Qualifications

Education/Certificates/Licenses: Minimum 2 years experience working in Disaster and Data Collection preferred; 2 years experience working in Safety & Security. Must be able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Required Qualifications

  • Six (6) years work experience in Security Services

  • Two (2) year proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role

  • California Guard Card (BSIS)

  • IAHSS Basic Security Officer Certificate (within 30 days of employment)

  • IAHSS advance Officer Certificate (within 60 days of employment)

  • IAHSS Supervisory Certificate (within 120 days of employment)

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively work well with others to achieve common goals; customer service-oriented to quickly address questions or issues; ability to work with all age groups and individuals from diverse background

  • Past work experience with communications equipment. Reporting systems, CCTV monitoring, and all on-site security equipment

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and advising employees. Actively cooperates and supports to work of others

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and es3cutie plans to meet deadlines

  • Organizational skills to be applied to coordinating assigned staff schedules and unit operations

  • Ability to write report

  • Ability to apply judgement to quickly evaluate issues and identify a potential solution on the spot with defined procedures and policies

  • Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations with a multi-cultural population and escalate appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of Security and/or Communications work experience in teaching hospital/medical center environment

  • Course work in law enforcement

  • Past experience with integral video recording, access card protocol, Security System software and radio dispatch experience

  • AVADE certification or similar management of assaultive behavior certification program

  • Handcuff Certification

  • PC832 California POST

  • Knowledge of regulations regarding hazardous materials, fire codes, building codes and all other relevant safety requirements and ability to apply concepts to operations in assigned unit

  • Knowledge of organization, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge and ability to monitor compliance with relevant regulatory agencies federal and state requirements

  • Working familiarity with hospital related emergency events.

Licensure/Certification
