**Summary:**

A technical product manager (PM) is a product manager with a strong technical background that is typically focused on the more technical aspects of products. A technical PM works more closely with the software engineering, QA, infrastructure, networking, and other Advanced Solutions teams, but also works regularly with the business, legal, finance, corporate, and marketing teams of the organization. We're searching for an innovative and motivated Technical Product Manager who will manage the multi-team development and operational delivery of a portfolio of technical projects by understanding business requirements, managing changes, removing roadblocks, and communicating broadly with multiple functional groups and stakeholders. In this position, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and build consensus by understanding stakeholder requirements and constraints. You will be expected to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional teams.

**What You Will Do** **:**

+ You will help identify, prioritize, and advocate for the largest opportunities, as well as create and manage new efficiency opportunities from ideation to launch.

+ Manage product vision.

+ Create product road maps.

+ Conduct market research and provide competitive analysis.

+ Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems.

+ Collaborate with business owners, business users, IT, business analysts, software engineering, quality assurance, operations, legal to define and document product strategy and road maps.

+ Coordinate and oversee the execution of product development efforts bringing multiple stakeholders and teams into a cohesive team delivering solutions on time within budget.

+ Assess and address technical risks.

+ Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.

**What You Will Need** **:**

+ Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and five+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ High level of product knowledge of critical communications, IT and competitive products and other voice communications technologies

+ Ability to absorb and make sense of large amounts of data, information, and perspectives to direct decision making

+ Ability to keep multiple projects, products, and requests organized and prioritized

+ Experience working with Director level and above to define problems and priority of work

+ Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams comprised of Product Managers, Technical Product Managers, and Engineering

+ At least 7 years of experience with application development

+ Solid understanding of Agile software development life cycle

+ Robust interpersonal skills with evidence of teamwork and collaboration - Ability to drive for results with minimal guidance

+ Curious, willing to ask questions and apply critical thinking - Open minded, willing to look at things from another perspective - Collaborative in your approach to work

**What Would Be Nice To Have** **:**

+ PMP certified - Experience in the healthcare, financial services or energy industries.

+ Knowledge of User Experience principles and best practices is a plus

+ Scrum certification

**Additional Requirements:**

+ The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

+ Compensation for this role is 140-170K but may vary based on education, skills, experience and location.
